What is it?
The Sanctuary is the sports-cultural program organized by the NBPA (National Basketball Players Association) and the Regional Government of Andalusia, which transforms The Embassy Fuengirola (Higuerón Resort) into a global center for high performance, innovation, and networking for one week.

Where is it held?
At the Fuengirola-Higuerón Training Center, known as “The Embassy,” a FIBA-certified center with two professional courts, a gym, an 80 m² rehabilitation area, maximum discretion, and VIP treatment.

Objective of the event
More than 20 NBA players are participating in intensive training, recovery, yoga, training workshops, and networking sessions, in addition to meetings with sports executives and experts in sports technology.

2025 Edition
In July 2025, the fourth consecutive edition was held in Fuengirola, with the participation of figures such as Jaylen Brown, Eric Gordon, Davion Mitchell, the Thompson brothers, GG Jackson, and Taylor Hendricks. Councilor Patricia del Pozo highlighted its estimated media impact of $4.5 million.
